This biopic about French language hockey player Maurice "The Rocket" Richard tells her story on the growth and hard work to finally play for Canedians of Montreal and lead to an unparalleled record of five Stanley Cup championships. The film won several awards for the results of realism to the story and dialogue, with much of the film reviewed by Richard himself before his death.
Mystery, Alaska
This fictional account of a small team of hockey ice of the city that will play the New York Rangers of the NHL is an edifying story about what can be achieved through hard work, perseverance and a little bit of luck. A funny thing about the movie is that the New York Rangers is a whole list players from the real-life team refused to be part of the film (probably because they get hit). The film stars Russell Crowe, Hank Azaria and Burt Reynolds.
The Mighty Ducks
The first film of a trilogy end, this popular kids movie about a ragtag group of youngsters who are coached by Gordon Bombay, a Minneapolis lawyer who successfully defend is sentenced to community services as coach after being arrested for drunk driving. The team eventually uniting to fight a much better team than them, but win out thanks to their effort and heart. It's a great film with a classical interpretation as coach Emilio Estevez.
Sudden death
This action film starring strike hard Jean-Claude Van Damme was written by the wife of owner Howard Baldwin penguins. Van Damme stars as born in Canada firefighter who is in the center of a kidnapping plot in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup final. The gunman disguised as Iceburgh, the Pittsburgh Penguins mascot and there is a big fight scene between the pet and Van Damme near the end (guess who wins?) If you are looking for a great action movie with a value of hockey you to do "sudden death".
